Marion County Ocala Fl. Historic MLK March 2025

To organizations, groups and individuals, the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr Commemorative Commission invite you to participate in the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. March. We stand at a pivotal moment in our nation, where the legacy of Dr Martin Luther King jr. continues to inspire us to strive for justice, equality, and unity. We invite each and every one of you to join us in the MLK march, a powerful demonstration of our commitment to these enduring values.

By marching together, we honor Dr. King’s dream and show that his vision of a society where all people are judged by the content of their character is still very much alive. Your presence will not only commemorate his incredible contributions but also reinforce our collective resolve to continue the fight against injustice and inequality.

Let’s come together, hand in hand, and make this march a testament to our unity and determination. Join us in celebrating the progress we’ve made and the work that still lies ahead. Together, we can make a difference. 

Attached is the march application, please print it, fill it out and share with us whether or not you plan on participating so that we can send you a marching line up number.

7:am – 8:40 am – Transportation provided from the MLK Recreation Complex – 1510 N.W. 4th St to downtown Ocala.

8:am – We line up in preparation of the march

9:am -The march begins and continues until we reach the MLK Rec. Complex where you started.

For individuals that have trouble walking the entire distance transportation will be provided to the end of the march. Paramedics and first responders also will be on hand.
