Michael Mallard: Recent Works | Closing Reception

The College of Central Florida Webber Gallery invites you to our closing reception for our upcoming exhibition, Michael Mallard: Recent Works.

This exhibition will present Mallard’s exploration of the unique qualities of navigating life in the American Southeast through a series of narrative still life works. Mallard’s pieces blend everyday objects and symbolic imagery to tell layered stories about identity, place, and experience. Each work invites viewers to explore the subtleties of Southern life, offering a rich, contemplative look at the beauty and challenges inherent in the rhythms and stories of the region.

Mallard is an accomplished artist and educator known for his contributions to the visual arts community. He currently serves as an Associate Professor of Visual Arts at Albany State University in Georgia, where he plays an active role in teaching and mentoring students. Mallard holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Georgia, and a Master of Fine Arts from the University of Illinois.

Michael Mallard: Recent Works will take place Feb. 17 – Mar. 12,
with the closing reception held Wednesday, March 12 at 12:30 p.m. at the Webber Gallery, where light refreshments will be served. Admission is free and open to the public.
