She’ll be teaching how to bring a unique Enchanted Pumpkin design to life. This isn’t your typical pumpkin painting—this blue Enchanted Pumpkin will introduce you to fun textures and techniques that are sure to inspire your creativity – and perfect for all skill levels!

The Academy at Ocala Civic Theatre is pleased to announce a divine opportunity: the Theatrix adult class ON-CAMERA ACTING WITH WENDY MAKENNA on Saturday, September 21! Known for her tremendous range and the ability to disappear into her roles, Wendy is an accomplished actress and entrepreneur with a diverse background in film, television, theatre, and the arts. She is perhaps best known for her role of shy novice Sister Mary Robert in “Sister Act,” “Sister Act 2,” and the much-anticipated “Sister Act 3.”

This class utilizes sides from actual film and TV auditions to heighten your auditioning skills and on-camera acting technique. The focus is a unique method for using the frame of the camera to establish relationships and create a physical environment so real, the audience feels like they can see what you see. Using this method, actors transform from trying to behave like a human on camera to simply BEING human on camera. Each actor will do a pre-assigned scene in front of the camera. An off-camera reader will be provided. Feedback and monitor playback will be utilized.

Join Arts in Health Ocala Metro for Our Spring Fling Silent Disco Presented by the LILAC Foundation!

Time: 7-10pm (Early VIP access 6:30 PM) | 18+ Event

What’s a Silent Disco?!?
A silent disco is when people are dancing while listening to music through headphones. We will have two channels for you to listen to, so you can choose to listen to music from the 1970’s to 2010, or 2010-NOW

Dress Code: All white preferable – a white t-shirt will also do the trick!

Bonus: For a small donation, get tagged outside by one of our creative artists as they graffiti tag your white attire to glow in the dark. We will also have glow in the dark face painting and glow in the dark goodies for you to wear while you dance the night away!
