The Flattlanders are one of North Florida’s top bluegrass and gospel bands, delivering tight harmonies and a hard driving traditional sound with a contemporary edge. Established in early 2020, these members were already seasoned veterans in the genre, and are excited to share their gifts as a band. The band consists of Brian Andrews (guitar), Joey Lazio (mandolin), Andy Kennan (banjo), and Matt Melton, (bass). You will most certainly enjoy what these young men have to offer, and not want to miss their performance, if they are in your area!

Tampa’s Damon Fowler, a masterful singer, guitar player and songwriter, has absorbed the best of and furthered the work of the region’s definitive artists. A hard driving troubadour, his music is steeped with soul and representative of the many styles that make up the roots of American music.
He gained the respect of his peers given his featured slot in Butch Truck’s Freight Train band and his side gig as guitarist in the Dickey Betts Band. Critics have compared Fowler’s guitar work to Johnny Winter and Jeff Beck, while his slide guitar is reminiscent of the late Duane Allman.
Fowler’s 2021 Landslide Records release, Alafia Moon, debuted at #1 on the Billboard Blues Chart, spent four months in the Top 20, and was nominated for a BMA in the Blues/Rock category. His follow up record, Damon Fowler & Friends, Live At The Palladium, garnered strong airplay throughout the United States and Europe. The new release, BARNYARD SMILE, featuring 8 new original Fowler compositions plus distinctive covers of Bo Diddley and Jerry Reed tunes, combines all of the influences that have shaped his distinctive blues career.
On the strength of Fowler’s hybrid of roots rock, blues, and sacred steel, the Florida native started wowing audiences with his musical exploits as a teenager, building a reputation as one of the hottest young players on the scene. Adding songwriting and vocal skills to his repertoire over the years has brought him many accolades, with music journalists extolling his originality and maturity as well as his technical guitar expertise. Allmusic.com raved that “Fowler’s creative lap steel work is what sets him apart from the rest of the guitar heroes.”

He has performed worldwide for over a million fans. Rick was the original “Robert Plant” for Led-Zepagain. He also supplied the “Steve Perry” vocals touring live with original Journey drummer Aynsley Dunbar. Rick was contracted by Fox Studios to portray Phil Collins on the British TV show “Performing As.” The real left-handed drummer was awarded the first Las Vegas residency given to a tribute band. Jeff Rupert has been a performing and recording saxophonist for forty years. Credits include over 75 albums: dates with Diane Schuur, Mel Tormé, Kevin Mahogany, Ernestine Anderson, and Benny Carter’s Grammy winning album, Harlem Renaissance. Jeff Rupert toured for fifteen years with Sam Rivers; four albums ensued, and from 1997- 2002 he toured and recorded with Maynard Ferguson. Jeff Rupert’s eleven recordings as a leader all charted on Jazz Week. Performance venues include the Blue Note, Small’s, Birdland, Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, the Kennedy Center, the Tokyo Forum, the National concert hall of Taipei, Taiwan, and jazz festivals throughout Europe, Israel, Australia, New Zealand, Brazil, and Japan. Rupert’s release Let’s Sail Away with Veronica Swift was #1 on the jazz charts, and his last album The Ripple with George Garzone was the #5 jazz album of the year (2020). This fall Rupert releases It Gets Better, an album with Kenny Barron, Peter Washington, and Joe Farnsworth. As a composer and arranger, Rupert has arranged for Bob Berg, James Moody, Maynard Ferguson, Judy Carmichael, Kenny Drew jr, and Kevin Mahogany. Rupert has produced 7 big band albums for the Flying Horse Big Band, all featuring original compositions and arrangements. The Flying Horse Big band’s release Good News! was #1 on the RMR charts, as was the band’s recording celebrating the music of Ray Charles, Florida Rays. UD’s show contains music from the entire Dead catalogue. Attendees get a history of the Grateful Dead through the different era’s. Members of UD have performed with the likes of Little Feat, Oteil Burbridge, Eric McFadden, Roosevelt Collier and Others. UD has been a regular fixture on the jam band circuit for many years and has always been a fan favorite.
Rhino records (GD Label) produces Grateful Dead Nights at arenas and stadiums throughout the country, teaming up with professional sports teams to combine music and sports. UD has been hired as the tribute act to perform at “The Florida Panthers Official Grateful Dead Night” for the last seven years running! The Stanley Cup champions have a long history with the music of the Grateful Dead with a number of players attending the performances after the game. In 2023 and 2024 The Fort Myers Mighty Mussels secured UD for their official Grateful Dead Nights as well. A badge of honor for the band, they always enjoy teaming up with the NHL and other professional sports organizations to put on these joint events sanctioned by the Grateful Dead organization and Rhino Records.
In 2024, Unlimited Devotion was invited to be a part of a collaborative album featuring Oteil Burbridge , Dave Nelson (New Riders of the Purple Sage), Dark Star Orchestra and other notable musicians to highlight their own interpretations of classic Grateful Dead Songs. Only 10 musical ensembles were selected to join Oteil and Dave Nelson to be a part of this groundbreaking album . In July of 2024, “The Music Plays the Band” was released on Amazon and all streaming platforms to fan and critical acclaim. UD’s contribution to the album was their interpretation of “Half Step Mississippi Uptown Toodeloo” which drew them further national attention.
In February 2018, Unlimited Devotion produced and performed Dead & Company’s pre-concert and post concert party on Orlando’s famed Church Street. City officials estimated 5000 and 7000 attendees at the respective events, making it the biggest block party in Orlando’s history and earning UD national attention.
