COURSE #SPE277
On Top of the World is home to many species of wildlife, some of which may frequent the common areas or backyards of many homes. Learn about the local wildlife species, management, and conservation efforts, and discover why providing responsible and safe backyard habitats for native wildlife is important. These practices complement On Top of the World Communities’ efforts to preserve native habitats by dedicating conservation areas and wildlife corridors as development continues. This course will also include tips for preventing visits from “uninvited” or nuisance wildlife.

COURSE #SPE273
Doug Kelly will present information from his book, which is a vivid, wild ride through a century of Mafia lore. He will offer never-before-told information from newly released files, interviews
with retired police and FBI agents, and his own career as a security consultant during the Cocaine Cowboys era. His book tells stories of organized crime rings that settled in Florida and made the state their base of operations for bootlegging, gambling, extortion, money laundering, and drug running. Sunshine State Mafia divulges the hidden history of the mob from the Keys to Pensacola to Jacksonville. Kelly’s line of work involved brushes with criminal
elements and notorious characters, which he recounts here. He also defines roles within Mafia families, discusses how changes in policing have impacted the patterns of criminal organizations, and talks about what distinguishes the Mafia from other groups.

The Academy at Ocala Civic Theatre is pleased to announce a divine opportunity: the Theatrix adult class ON-CAMERA ACTING WITH WENDY MAKENNA on Saturday, September 21! Known for her tremendous range and the ability to disappear into her roles, Wendy is an accomplished actress and entrepreneur with a diverse background in film, television, theatre, and the arts. She is perhaps best known for her role of shy novice Sister Mary Robert in “Sister Act,” “Sister Act 2,” and the much-anticipated “Sister Act 3.”
This class utilizes sides from actual film and TV auditions to heighten your auditioning skills and on-camera acting technique. The focus is a unique method for using the frame of the camera to establish relationships and create a physical environment so real, the audience feels like they can see what you see. Using this method, actors transform from trying to behave like a human on camera to simply BEING human on camera. Each actor will do a pre-assigned scene in front of the camera. An off-camera reader will be provided. Feedback and monitor playback will be utilized.
Learn more about the class and Wendy here: https://ocalacivictheatre.com/…/On-Camera-Acting-With…
Register ASAP at ocalacivictheatre.com! Only six spots available in this class!

Event Details
This interactive training is centered around the teaching of Sound & Vibrational Therapies. Our intention for this amazing interactive training is to not only share the theory, science, and practices of Sound Healing, but to give you “hands-on” experience.
Level 1: Practitioner of Sound Healing Therapies – We will take you on a journey of healing using Sound and Intention. We will teach you the science and theory of the practice, as well as allow you to experience several varieties of Sound Bath, Sound Meditation, and Yoga Nidra. You will be taught how to lead Sound Baths/Sound Meditations for groups and individuals using Crystal Singing Bowls, Gongs, Chimes, Drums, and other instruments. This certification includes an Introductory Online teaching that will prepare you for our in-person training. This Level 1 will help you find a passion for the practice and teach the many uses of Sound as a Healing Practice.
Level 2: Practitioner of Vibrational Therapies Certification – This level teaches how to use sound therapeutically in private sessions or with specialized groups. We guide you to use Sound & Vibration to align our clients to a more Harmonized State of Being.
In this Level we spend:
5-6 hours working with Tuning Forks through various protocols.
2-3 hours of Drum Protocols learning how they can be used to move energy, ground, and unblock stored trauma and emotions.
8-Hours of hands-on practice using Himalayan Bowls on the Body to bring what we call an “Internal Massage” to the whole-body system.
We approach this practice by embracing the traditions of ancient teachings and combine them with modern research. By working with sound, vibrations and intention we create a modality that is truly Transformational.
All students will receive unlimited lifetime access to our online training portal. The portal contains reference material and recordings. This valuable resource will offer you continuing education in the practice and provide opportunities to stay connected with classmates and peers.
You have the option of taking Level 1 or taking both Levels together as a 4-day double certification.
Once enrolled you will be given access to our “Introduction to Sound Healing Course”, which you are Required to complete before the in-person training date.
Payment plans available:
4-Day $1590 $500 down 3 monthly payments
2-Day $795 $300 down, 2 monthly payments
