Free Meditation Group
This meditation group will be doing simple yet profound meditations that will improve one’s health – mentally, physically and spiritually.
Many people believe that they simply cannot meditate, and that is simply untrue. It is a matter of brain training. We’ve allowed our brains to run around like unruly toddlers for years and then suddenly expect to be able to meditate. This is unrealistic. This group will be a safe landing space to explore and learn.
Other people know how vital meditation is for health (even doctors are prescribing it!) yet they don’t set aside the time to do it because we all have busy lives. This group is perfect for them as well, as it will give dedicated space and time for them to engage in that part of themselves and their lives.
Join us for this magical time! You’ll be glad you did. The cost is a Donation of Appreciation if you choose.

Event Details
award-winning Off-Broadway Show is a high energy multi-media immersive experience about time traveling back to the 1960’s, based around a live note for note re-creation concert.
The cast features former band members of The Who, The Rascals and John Fogarty {Creedence Clearwater Revival}.
“An Aural and Visual tour de Force!!”
“Powerfully Dramatized…. A Breathtaking Musical Experience of Major Importance!”
“…The Show is an indisputable Hit!!”
“An Immersive Historical and High Energy Musical Spectacle…A Must See!!”
This popular theater show is a cross generational crowd pleaser and has been selling out virtually every theater and performing arts center that the show plays at. The band is widely celebrated and known for re-creating spot on, note for note re-creations of the hits, B-sides and deep album cuts from the greatest songs of the 1960’s. In addition to the concert experience, this high energy show is a large scale and ambitious multi-media, stage production that is powerfully dramatized by a combination of time travel special effects, narration, 60’s archival audio and newsreel footage and a light show. This seen to be believed bigger-than-life show is nothing less than awe-inspiring.
The Sixties Show is a high energy trip back in time that reminds the audience how uniquely inspirational, entertaining, and historically significant the music and events of the 1960’s were and continues to be.
All of the music is performed live, with no samples, backing tracks or prerecorded music of any kind. The band uses a state-of-the-art sound system but, only plays authentic 1960’s period vintage and re-issue vintage gear and instrumentation just like original artist’s and original recordings. This combined with genuine 1960’s mod costumes that the band wears only add to the meticulous detail and authenticity of this popular and powerful theater show.
The members of The Sixties Show were hand-picked to perform and record with Sir Paul McCartney, The Beach Boys, Brian Wilson, The Bee Gees, Mick Jagger, John Fogerty, Bruce Springsteen, Walter Becker and Donald Fagen, Steely Dan and other legends and individually have performed at the most renown venues in the world such a Madison Square Garden, The Hollywood Bowl, Wembley Stadium, The Grand Rex in Paris, The Budokan in Tokyo and others.

6-Week Comedy Showdown at Muddy Lotus Tea
January 7 – February 18, 2026
Doors open at 4 PM | Sign-ups close at 7:30 PM | Show 8–10 PM
Muddy Lotus Tea, 520 NE 1st Ocala FL
18+ Event | One Drink Minimum
Hosted by Samantha Bender & DJ Shawn
Think you’ve got the guts to grab the mic and make a crowd lose it?
Join us for Drop the Mic: Comedy Edition, a six-week stand-up comedy competition where local comics go head-to-head for laughs, glory, and $1,000 cash in the grand finale!
Every Wednesday night, comedians take the stage for two different 5–7 minute sets — giving them the chance to show range, creativity, and pure comedic presence.
Each week’s winner moves on to the Finale on February 18, 2026, where the five champions will battle for the title of Muddy Lotus Tea’s 2026 Comedy Winner and a $1,000 cash prize.
HOW IT WORKS
• Weekly competitions run January 7 through February 11.
• Each comic performs two 5–7 minute sets (different material encouraged).
• Judges and audience votes decide the weekly winner.
• Weekly winners automatically advance to the finale and open the following week’s show.
• If a winner can’t make it, the runner-up steps in.
• The Finale on February 18 features all five weekly winners competing for $1,000 cash and the Drop the Mic Comedy Champion title!
JUDGING CRITERIA
Comics are scored on:
1. Stage Presence – confidence, comfort, connection
2. Originality – fresh, authentic, creative material
3. Delivery & Timing – flow, rhythm, punchline control
4. Audience Reaction – laughter, energy, engagement
5. Overall Impact – the complete impression from both sets
AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION
Every show features The Lotus Challenge — an improv round where the crowd gets to throw fun, everyday topics at the comedians (“first dates,” “bad drivers,” “Florida rain,” “coffee addiction,” etc.) and watch them turn it into comedy on the spot.
Ground rules:
Keep it light, kind, and clever — no politics, no hate, no cheap shots.
Muddy Lotus is about creativity, connection, and good energy.
PRACTICE NIGHT
Comics can workshop or test material Tuesday nights with Christy House at Act Out, starting at 7 PM.
It’s an open and supportive space to prepare before showtime at Muddy Lotus.
SIGN-UP DETAILS
• Sign-ups open at 7 PM and close at 7:30 PM sharp each Wednesday.
• Performers must be 18+.
• Each performer gets two 5–7 minute sets.
• All material must be original.
• No hate speech, slurs, or political targeting.
• If your name is called and you’re not present, your slot is forfeited.
• One drink minimum for all attendees.
PRIZES
• Weekly Winners: Advance to finals + open the next show
• Grand Finale Winner (Feb 18): $1,000 Cash Prize
• Fan Favorite: Determined by audience cheers each week
Bring your best material, your boldest energy, and your sense of humor because once the mic drops, it’s all on you.
